DIRECTIONS TO THE EVENT

Starting from Downtown Winnipeg at Portage street and Main street.

  1. Head north on Main street

  2. Use the right 3 lanes to turn right onto the Disraeli Freeway

  3. Continue on until Chief Peguis Trail and turn right on Chief Peguis Trail.

  4. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Provincial Trunk Highway 59/Route 20

  5. Keep left to stay on Provincial Trunk Highway 59/Route 20

  6. Use the right lane to merge onto Provincial Trunk Highway 44 East via the ramp to Beausejour

  7. Turn right to stay on Provincial Trunk Highway 44 East

  8. Turn left onto Provincial Trunk Highway 44 E (signs for Vivian)

  9. Turn left onto MB-11 North (signs for Lac Du Bonnet)

  10. Turn right onto MB-307 East

  11. Continue on ER 31 to your destination.


 

RIDES TO NIBI

Our partnering organization, Lake Winnipeg Indigenous Collective is providing rides from Winnipeg to the Nibi site. 

Please note that pick up and drop off will be at a central meet up location TBA

VOLUNTEER FOR NIBI

We are looking for volunteers for the 2024 Nibi (Water) Gathering! Volunteers are needed for the following positions:

  • Runners (Valid Driver's license/vehicle required)

  • Lodge Greeters and Helpers

  • Knowledge Keeper Helper

  • Kitchen Helper

  • Recycling/Garbage Keeper

  • Fire Keepers

Volunteer Orientation will take place on Thursday May 23rd at 9 a.m. at the Nibi Gathering Site.
